Class Approved Builders for the 2020-2024 (Paris Olympics) Quadrennium
Registered Series Production Equipment
Since 2012, only registered production equipment is eligible for any IKA Formula Kite event.
Formula Kite is the equipment selected for the kiteboarding events in the 2024 Olympic Games but also for Regional Games (like the Panamerican and Central American & Caribbean Games), World and Continental Beach Games, the World Sailing World Championships, World Sailing Youth World Championships, and the Youth Olympic Games.
The Concept
Foil systems and Kites shall only be manufactured by Licensed Manufacturers and shall be series production manufacture controlled with every item of the series built to the highest possible degree of uniformity in every performance related aspect.
Every four years following the previous Olympic Games, new builders (and new models) may register equipment and allow the market to expand. As a consequence, the class rules have evolution of equipment 'built-in'.

Builders
The following builders have registered equipment for evaluation and, if successful, subsequent licensing for the 2020-2024 quadrennium.
Only licensed equipment shall be used in international competitions until after the 2024 Olympic Games. Unlicensed (but registered) equipment may be used in national competitions and dedicated youth championships (including the World Sailing Youth Worlds)
