The final day of the Kitefoiling Youth World Championships delivered drama and an unforeseen but well deserved result in the girls’ fleet. Light winds made consistent foiling very tough and required the highest level of focus and technical skill from the young riders.

Glorious Sardinia conditions on the second day of racing
Day two of the Kiteboarding Youth World Championships saw a change of leader in two of the three divisions. The breeze was steadier than Wednesday, with all four races completed in winds of 8 to 16 knots which gradually moved around from the south-west to north-west throughout the afternoon.

An international group of riders is ready to contest the Formula Kite U21 and A's Youth Foil World Championships in Torregrande on the west coast of Sardinia. Taking place from 16 to 22 May, the World Championships are the ultimate test for these under-21 athletes as they foil above the surface at speeds in excess of 30 knots.

Reigning World Champions dominate in Palma
Frenchman Theo De Ramecourt and USA’s Daniela Moroz took gold in Palma, at the first Hempel World Cup Series for Formula Kite as an Olympic Event which saw 38 women and 75 men from 24 countries and 5 continents taking part.
