Godzilla livery at COTA

Haas carries a "Godzilla Minus Zero" livery for the United States Grand Prix at COTA this weekend. This design replaces the traditional red and white paint scheme with more blue on the sidepods and rear wing, while a picture of Godzilla sits on the engine cover. The new look uses light blue splashes and bold patterns to celebrate the upcoming film release from TOHO CO. LTD. Drivers Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon wear one-off team merchandise and race suits that match the new Godzilla theme for the Austin weekend. This marks the second time Haas uses a Godzilla theme this season following the Japanese Grand Prix. The team, which is participating in its second home race of the season after the Miami Grand Prix in May, currently sits seventh in the standings with 30 points earned. This puts the outfit seven clear of new entrant Audi, but they are 38 points behind Alpine in sixth. The team entered a season-long collaboration with TOHO CO., LTD., the Japanese entertainment studio, at the start of the year.

Driver lineups and race schedule

The team’s recent performance is poor because they scored in only one race since the Monaco Grand Prix when Ocon and Bearman cracked the top nine at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Haas scored five top 10 finishes in the opening six rounds, but the squad has struggled since the Miami Grand Prix in May. Regarding driver lineups, Haas will partner Bearman with Ferrari junior Rafaele Camara next year. This leaves Ocon’s position uncertain. Reports linked Ocon to a seat at Cadillac for 2027, though it looks likely that Valtteri Bottas will stay put. Reports also linked Ocon to a Toyota FIA World Endurance Championship programme, but sportscar media rubbished those links. The Austin race is one of three home races for the Haas team this season, joining Miami and Las Vegas. The "Godzilla Minus Zero" film releases in US cinemas on November 6.
