Charles Leclerc and wife Alexandra announce birth of daughter Bianca
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and his wife Alexandra welcomed their first child, a daughter named Bianca, on November 3, 2026. The news follows Leclerc's fourth-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix and drew congratulations from fellow drivers and celebrities.
Social media reveal of baby Bianca
Charles Leclerc and his wife, Alexandra, announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Bianca, on Wednesday lunchtime. The 29-year-old Ferrari driver and his wife shared a photo on social media showing the newborn’s legs and feet in pink knitted leggings and white socks. The caption read, "Bianca. 3.11.26." Bianca arrived on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The couple married in a private Monaco ceremony in February 2026, where Leclerc drove his wife in a classic Ferrari. They already consider their Dachsund, Leo, to be a son. Leclerc told Harper’s Bazaar that becoming a father feels "very, very special" and that he is "really looking forward to it." When asked about his priorities away from the track, the driver explained that spending time with his wife, Leo, his family, and his friends remains the number one thing he tries to do. He added that the balance remains natural because his priority remains all the on-track activity and whatever makes him better as a driver and what the team can do better. This news brings a welcome moment of joy to the Monegasque driver.
Racing schedule and name speculation
The birth follows Leclerc’s fourth-place finish at the Mexican Grand Prix, where he started in third position behind pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton. Leclerc flew home to Monaco before the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix weekend in Sao Paulo. Dino Beganovic will drive the Ferrari during the first practice session while Leclerc prepares for the race. Some social media users speculated that the name Bianca might tribute Leclerc’s godfather, Jules Bianchi, who died in 2015. Bianca joins a group of recent F1 babies, including Fernando Alonso and partner Melissa Jimenez’s son, Leonard, who arrived in March 2026, and Max Verstappen’s daughter, Lily, with partner Kelly Piquet. Leclerc joins other racing fathers on the current grid such as Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, Nico Hulkenberg, and Sergio Perez.
Paddock congratulations and Ferrari tension
The social media post, which featured a photo of the newborn’s legs in pink knitted leggings and white socks, drew immediate congratulations from former teammate Carlos Sainz, Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly, and the entire Ferrari team. Carlos Sainz wrote, "So happy for you. Welcome to the world Bianca," while Pierre Gasly sent a message saying, "Congrats!!!" Former drivers Alain Prost and Jean Alesi, alongside Adrien Tambay, also sent messages. Tambay wrote, "felicitation a vous deux Charlot. Best thing on earth for a dad to have a little daughter… enjoy." Celebrities such as Eva Longoria, Nara Smith, Natalia Bryant, and singer Charlie Puth also sent congratulations. Even the FIA and F1 Academy sent messages, with F1 Academy noting, "Maybe we’ll see her on the grid in the future…" Additional well-wishers included Victoria Verstappen, Sophie Kumpen, Rebecca Donaldson, and Rachel Brookes. However, the news arrives during a period of tension within the Ferrari garage. During the Mexican Grand Prix, Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton engaged in a wheel-to-wheel battle at turn four. Leclerc drove across the grass at turn five after attempting a move, resulting in a five-second time penalty. Hamilton expressed frustration on the radio because the penalty seemed insufficient. He told his team, "The stewards are basically handing Charles this win. We agreed in the drivers’ briefing."
